Tapas Tenets: Innovation

We hope that you’re enjoying our series on Tapas Tenets: Collaboration, Innovation, and Connection. If you missed our first post on Collaboration, please check it out. We’re playing around with AI and decided to incorporate it into these first few posts using the moniker JenAI – we really like monikers around here, but that’s another post. Without further delay, our thoughts on Innovation.

Why we care about and believe in INNOVATION:

Stephanie on Innovation:

Innovation is a willingness to see something in a new light. It’s clever ideas turned genius. It is playful creativity solving serious problems. It is thinking, trying, creating, failing, analyzing, reconsidering, redesigning, trying again, another failure, and on and on until a solution comes together like alchemy. It’s risk-taking, combined with insight, need, and passion. It’s two opposing ideas merging into something more. At the basis of everything we do at Tapas is Innovation. It’s why we put it in the name. We illuminate so we can innovate.

Staci on Innovation:

For me, innovation is very closely tied to the idea of hope. ‘To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow’ Audrey Hepburn once said. Innovation is the forward movement that harnesses our knowledge and collaborative efforts to craft something better for the future. It takes a healthy dose of effort to arrive at innovation, but it’s fundamentally rooted in a hope for a better future. Sometimes this hope is conscious. Sometimes it’s unconscious. Either way, it’s my favorite part of innovation, and what makes innovation the Godmother of ‘creativity’. Innovation certainly requires creativity, but it’s the addition of hope that transforms a creative idea into innovation.

JenAI on Innovation:

Innovation is the process of creating new ideas, products, or services that bring about significant change and improvement in our lives. It is the driving force behind progress and advancement in various fields, from technology and science to business and the arts. Innovation is not just about inventing something completely new but also involves finding creative solutions to existing problems or improving upon existing products or services. It requires a willingness to take risks, experiment, and think outside the box. Innovation can transform industries, revolutionize the way we live and work, and create new opportunities for economic growth and development. In today’s fast-paced and ever-changing world, innovation is more critical than ever, and those who are able to harness its power are likely to be at the forefront of success and prosperity.
